Michelle Risinger, Principal and Founder of Rising Solutions, is an internationally recognized innovation strategist, design- thinker, facilitator and public-speaker having trained over thousands of individuals in innovation and design thinking approaches.  Risinger creates enabling environments to catalyze social innovation and has managed an award-winning portfolio of global innovation projects, with work featured by USAID, USDOL, Department of State, Forbes, Gates Foundation, Devex and in the critically acclaimed 2018 book, Lean Impact.

She has led international teams in over 15 countries in human-centered design exercises resulting in receipt of the 2019 End-User Transformation award by Design Thinking USA.  Formerly the Director of Innovation at global nonprofit, Pact, Risinger has a Master’s in International Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of St Andrews, Scotland and has guest lectured at American University, Thunderbird School of Global Management and the Design for Social Innovation program in New York City. She is a certified professional life coach with a focus on servant leadership, mindfulness and Neuro-Linguistic Programming and a certified practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

In 2020, Risinger launched Rising Solutions, an innovation strategy firm that develops ideas and products for social change. Since starting her company, Risinger’s research has been focused on the systematic failures that inhibit creativity and innovation in the modern workplace. Rising Solutions is based in Washington, DC.
